Land Use Plan

The City of Williams Lake in partnership with the Consulting team is working to produce a new land use plan based on the input from the Imainge Our Future Process, Sustainability Declaration, the Residential Suitability Mapping Process that took place in the spring of 2010.

Residnetail Suitability Mapping

Residential Suitability mapping is the first phase in developing a new Land Use Plan for the CIty of Williams Lake's updated Official Community Plan, based on the vision and strategies developed during the Imagine Our Future process. 

The Second Draft of the Residential Suitability Mapping process has been informed by:

1.  Sustainability-Based Evalution Criteria (Clicking here to review)
2.  The Driver and Constraints Criteria (Click here for more infor)
3.  Community feedback obtained through focus groups and an online survey conducted in early March 2010.

Thanks to those who assisted us with suitability map reviews by attending focus groups or filling in an online survey!  Feedback will be incorporated into the next version of the Suitability mapping to develop a recommended land use scenario.
